At 7:05 pm, our selection is on the Pittsburgh Penguins over the Philadelphia Flyers. After an impressive two game road sweep of the Capitals over the weekend, the Penguins tied, and then passed the Caps to take over sole possession of first place in the East Division. And with its next series against the lowly Flyers, Pittsburgh figured to maintain that lead. So what happened? The Pens proceeded to get thumped by the Flyers last night in Philadelphia, 7-2, while the Caps man-handled the Rangers -- as they seem to do often these days -- and now the two teams are tied again. Don't forget about Boston either as the red-hot Bruins have won four straight and are only three points back. It's a quick turnaround as the Pens and Flyers meet again 24 hours later with the home team going for the sweep. The Pens specialize in revenge situation as they are 15-3 (+12 games on the money line) in their last 18 revenging a loss vs. an opponent and 13-2 (+11 games on the moneyline) in their last 15 when it's a same season revenge. Take the Pens. 6* PLAY. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.
