Taking the Blue Jackets for 4* here...
The Blue Jackets dominated the Predators last game at 5 on 5 with 64% of expected goals yet still lost, and the Red Wings were dominated by the Hurricanes (39% and 31.5% expected goals in those two games) yet won the last one.
I like betting on teams that deserved to win but lost, and I like betting against teams that deserved to lose but won. I'm usually able to get extra value because public perception is based on who won and who lost and by how much, not necessarily who played better.
I like the Jackets to get the W in this first game of two against the Wings.
I suggest taking this game on the -1 line or in regulation (-1 means your bet ties if they win by 1 and wins if they win by 2+ and regulation means they need to win in regulation) or dropping the units down a little as I did (4 instead of the usual 5 to 10 units)
