Chargers: Week 10 (Last week): The Chargers may very well be one of the best 2-6 teams in recent history. Although they are 2-6 on the year, they have lost 4 games in which they were up by 14+ points. Additionally, every single loss for them this season has been by 1 score ending on the final minute of the game. I have to think Anthony Lynn is getting an earful right now to be more aggressive instead of conservative late in games - but with a slight tweak in his approach, and some better luck - this team VERY easily could be 6-2 or even 7-1 right now. If that were the case, would the Chargers even be underdogs this weekend? Herbert and this offense is the real deal, and they have a strong defense who could be welcoming back their highest graded defender this weekend as well.
Week 11 Update: The Chargers lost to the Dolphins by 8, after gifting them 11 points on special teams. Not ready to downgrade this team based on that, however this week they will be finally welcoming back Joey Bosa. I like their chances against a Jets team who will be missing both starting cornerbacks on top of being the worst team in football as is. I expect a double digit victory here.
