-This is one of my favorite spots of the night tonight. Colorado comes into this game on a quick trip from Arizona, and they’re coming into one of the more exciting buildings in the league in the Shark Tank in San Jose. The Sharks played a wild 7-6 game against St Louis the other night, but they’re finally getting some rest at home right now. If you don’t remember, they started the season on a 12-game road trip that spanned almost a full month, and now they’re back. Their offense has picked it up a bit in their time back home, and they’re coming off a home loss where they scored 6 goals.
-I would expect the offense to continue its strong play, but the problem in San Jose is the goaltending. They have the 2nd worst Sv% in the NHL at .897%, and at home it’s even worse at .879%. Colorado has played very well offensively in its last 10 games but has not had the shooting luck to go with it. Tonight is a perfect night for them to break out of that shooting slump.
-Both teams should be flying early in this one, and expect fireworks early. The Over is 11-3 in the last 14 matchups between these two in San Jose and 16-8 overall in the last 24. OVER! OVER! OVER!
