It's time to pick on another pitcher, but whose public numbers might not be as bad as we talked about in the Angels/Royals game. David Peterson has a 4.19 ERA in his career and is 3-0 with a 3.00 ERA in his short Mets career at home. However, he's not in a great spot for this start today. He's on 6 days of rest coming into this one and he has already faced the Phillies once this year. When starting a game 6 days of rest? He has a 7.24 ERA in his career. He's also facing the Phillies for the second time this year and the third time in his career. He already has a 16.50 ERA with 11 earned runs in 6 innings pitched against the Phillies, but when an offense gets to face a pitcher for the second time in such a short period of time, it's almost always advantage offense.-Not only did the Phillies beat up on Peterson in his first start, they've hit left-handed pitchers pretty hard all year. They have also hit better on the road than at home so far. I like Zack Wheeler for the Phillies in this start, and I think the Mets bullpen is going to be a real problem for them again this year, so I'm rolling with Bryce Harper and the Philly Fanatic in this one.
