8* Take the LA Dodgers (#954)
The Dodgers are hot, playing with confidence, hitting the cover off the ball and yet priced cheaply enough on Wednesday Night to support them in Game 2 against the Rays. Make no mistake about it – LA is as talented and as battle tested as any team in modern baseball history. These postseason veterans are taking good at bats – night after night, swing after swing. The Dodgers have now won four straight – the best team during the regular season is now red hot here in the postseason; a team to ride.
Tampa’s Blake Snell hasn’t made it out of the sixth inning in any start this season; not an innings eater. He’s allowed sven runs in 14 innings of postseason work, and the Rays are just 1-2 in his three starts. The Dodgers have Tony Gonsolin as the opener, likely followed by Julio Urias and his .056 ERA in 16 playoff innings. Tampa’s bats got shut down last night. No surprise here if they get shut down again tonight. Short chalk worth laying! Take the Dodgers
