8* Take Louisville (#326)

Here’s what Dino Babers is saying about the 2020 season: “ I understand there’s not going to be an asterisk.  But It’s been different.  There’s no doubt, 2020 has been a different year, and something you need to grow and learn from.  And that’s exactly the way I’m taking it…..The one thing you always want to be is fair.  Did people really have a fair opportunity to show what they can or cannot do.  I think this year is one of those years you put an asterisk by and move on.”  That’s not the quote from a coach I want my money on!

Babers is starting FIVE freshmen on defense for the Orange.  Their last (and only) win came in September.  The Orange are down to a QB who wasn’t even on the depth chart to open the season; frosh JaCobian Morgan.  Dino Babers talking about his QB: “It’s not so easy as you think it is when you start practicing it.  So there’s no doubt there’s limitations, but I thought so far, for the stuff we’ve been giving him, he’s been doing ok.”   That, folks, is NOT a ringing endorsement.

Lousiville has had a rough year themselves, but it’s not even close to what we’ve seen from Syracuse.  The Cardinals effort has been there and Coach Satterfield has pointed towards this national TV affair, stepping way down in class at home, to right the ship.  In a comparable game less than a month ago, Louisville beat Florida State 48-16.  A similar result on Friday Night would be no surprise for this bettor!  Take Louisville.
