The Twins have a chance to salvage their rough road trip in this one, and they have a major pitching advantage to do it. Maeda has a 3.07 ERA this year and has a sub 3.50 ERA on the road in the past couple of seasons. He opposes Frankie Montas, who’s been a pretty good fade option since the start of last year, especially with his ERA that is a full point higher than Maeda’s.
-Oakland has been pretty god awful against righties this year, and Minnesota is top-10 in BA against them. Montas also throws almost 50% sinkers, which the Twins have hit well this year. I think they’ll salvage this series and road trip here.
