The Golden State Warriors enter the playoffs enjoying a five-game winning streak to land in the third spot. It was a wild last few weeks as the squad had lost four in a row before winning each of the last five games. The defense really stepped up with Curry out of action which is a good sign entering the playoffs where defense is key. Golden State has covered the spread in five out of their last six games.

Stephen Curry has not played in a month due to a foot sprain however it appears he will be ready for game one, although on limited playing time. The 34-year-old superstar hasn’t been quite as potent as last season but overall he posted strong numbers, posting 25.5 PPG on a 38% mark from three-point land. Curry has averaged 27.3 PPG in the three meetings against the Nuggets. Klay Thompson was at his best late in the season, eclipsing 30 points in three consecutive bouts. The 32-year-old shooting guard took some time to find a groove due to his lengthy absence and enters with an average of 20.4 PPG.

The Warriors are only 2-3 in their last five home games including a victory against the Jazz and only lost 10 at home all season. Golden State is scoring an average of 111 points, ranking them 15th overall. They are allowing an average of 105.5 points, tabbing them third in the NBA.
