Even though this is a lot of juice to lay, fading Washington has been worth it so far as the offense is heavily underperforming to go along with one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball. The Giants will be sending one of the best pitchers in baseball in Webb to the mound, and should comfortably continue their dominance over Washington in this matchup.
Adon isn't a highly-rated prospect and has generally struggled in his young career with a 159 ERA-/145 FIP-. Matching Webb frame for frame will be very difficult, as he has proved to be an ace-level starter since the beginning of 2021 with an ERA and FIP in the sub-3.00 range.
Washington can't get going at the plate either with a 77 wRC+ that ranks third-worst in baseball. This was a mismatch last weekend in the first season between these two, and Washington doesn't have much of a chance against the elite Giants pitching staff.
