8* Take Rhode Island (#671)

Rhode Island is starting to roll, coming off arguably their best game of the year, a 20 point blowout vs George Mason.  Point guard & leading scorer Fatts Russell was bursting with confidence following the game; a game where the Rams finally avoided the turnovers that had been plaguing them: “It’s been hard, in general, trying to find chemistry with each other.  It’s a lot of new guys.  We didn’t really know each other at first – where we want the ball and things like that.  It seems like it’s coming together now.  We’re getting a feel for each other.  I feel like guys are getting a feel for Coach Cox.  It’s time to start getting things rolling.”

While the Rams are an undervalued commodity starting to roll, Duquesne is simply a mess.  They’ve lost three key rotation pieces since their opener, including preseason All-A-10 standout Sincere Carry as well as Maceo Austin and Lamar Norman Jr.  They’ve failed to crack 50 points in three of their last four games, riding an 0-5 ATS skid into Wednesday – the markets haven’t crashed on the Dukes quickly enough.  Perhaps they will after another loss tonight…..Take URI
