Pick
100 (True) - Indianapolis 500 Futures @ bet365

Alexander Rossi (+750)

His average finishing spot is 3.5 here. He won in 2016, was second last year and says his car is as good as before. He qualified ninth and was third in final practice.

Ryan Hunter-Reay (+800) 7*

The 2014 race winner was also fifth in 2018 and eighth last year. Hunter-Reay was fourth twice on the race practice speed chart and qualified fifth.

Marco Andretti (+850) 7*

The pole winner was in the top three of all but one practice session. He likes his car. I do too.

Takuma Sato (+1600) 4*

Solid sleeper here. Sato, starts on the front row and was fourth overall in final practice. The last time he started in the top 10 here, he won.

Rinus VeeKay (+1600) 4*

The fastest teenager ever here starts fourth. I like his chances.

Colton Herta (+2000) 3*

He's been quiet all month and starts 10th. The kid can wheel it.

James Hinchcliffe (+2200) 3*

It would be a popular win for the Mayor. He starts sixth and was fastest on opening day. Is he on top on the last day too?

Conor Daly (+2500) 2*

The race pace looks good. While he doesn't have the starting spot, he can move his way forward.

Graham Rahal (+2500) 2*

He likes his chances. Rahal, has been quietly fast and starts eighth.

Pato O'Ward (+3500) 2*

He was quickest in final practice, eighth in Sunday's practice and starts 15th.

Marcus Ericsson (+4500) 2*

The Swede was seventh on Sunday and eighth on Friday. He starts 11th too.

Alex Palou (+4500) 2*

The rookie was in the top 10 in every practice session this month. He starts an impressive seventh.

Tony Kanaan (+5000) 2*

What a storybook this would be. Kanaan, has three top 10 finishes in his last four Indy 500 starts and could win the Indy 500 in what may be his final start.

FAQs

What does ‘Star Rating’ mean?
Star Rating is the number of units the handicapper is risking on the bet. Therefore, if the Star Rating is 7.0, it is a 7-unit pick. On plus odds picks, the handicapper is risking their Star Rating unit amount. On negative odds picks, the handicapper is betting enough to win their Star Rating unit amount.
We are constantly evaluating online sportsbooks and line feeds to ensure accuracy with our Expert picks. We typically have between 5-10 legal and reputable sportsbooks for our handicappers to select lines from. They are required to select the current line from these featured books so authenticity can always be confirmed – no stale lines!
