This is another great spot for a team that has a big advantage in the travel department. The Coyotes have been at home in Phoenix for 18 days now on a 9-game home stand, resting up just like San Jose was the other night. For tonight’s game, they travel an easy trip up to Los Angeles for a stand-alone road game before heading home again for another couple of days. They’re in a revenge spot here as well after losing two straight games to LA a few weeks ago in Arizona. They’re also coming off 2 consecutive losses to Colorado, and they’ve gone 4-0 this year after two consecutive losses — they don’t have a 3-game losing streak yet.
-The Kings, on the other hand, just played out of their minds on a 6-game road trip over in St Louis and Minnesota, and this is their first home game back in LA in over 2 weeks, which is always a tough spot for home teams. I think the Kings outperformed themselves in that road trip to be honest. They got some good shooting luck and some very good luck on the defensive side of things as well. This game shouldn’t go so easily with Arizona’s offense being better on the road than at home.
-The Coyotes are 7-3 in their last 10 games against the Kings in Los Angeles, and they get their leading scorer, Connor Garland, back for this one. I’m expecting a 3-1 or 4-2 victory for the Coyotes in this one.
