This wasnt a particularly long covid pause for Clemson (last game was 2/12), but it's likely they wont have their full lineup available today. This is a 13-5 Clemson team only laying 3 to a 6 -11 Wake team that's coming off 2 beatdown losses. It's a tellingly low line. Whether this is the line due to players being out or just the books expecting Clemson to look lousy today, this has the look of a Wake line.
Wake has looked bad in the last 2 and this is a major rebuilding year, but they took FSU to overtime in the game before that, and Forbes is a legit Coach. I'd imagine he'll get another decent showing or 2 out of this team before its done.
Clemson is 0-5 ATS on the road with the only win by 1 point at Miami (they were down 4 with 1:30ish left in game). It's not the same team on the road, and reasonable chance they'll be in less than optimal form in this spot. Nice looking spot for the home dog.
