Dan Kaiser: THE PROFESSOR’S NBA SUPER BLOWOUT!
The Utah Jazz have won just two of their five games since coming into the bubble. This will be the second game of a back to back, after dropping yesterday's hame to the San Antonio Spurs 119-111. Utah was without several key players and was led on offense by Jordan Clarkson with 24 points. Tony Bradley added 15 points with 11 rebounds and three blocks while Emmanuel Mudiay and Miye Oni chipped in with 14 points each. The Jazz had plenty of players out, including Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, and Royce O’Neal, They ere trailing by 16 early and could never recover.
The Denver Nuggets were on a two-game winning streak before dropping their last game to the Portland Trailblazers 125-115. Michael Porter Jr. continued to shine in the bubble, leading the Nuggets with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Jerami Grant added 18 points and Torrey Craig and Mason Plumlee had 13 points apiece.
Porter Jr. has been almost unstoppable in the last couple of games. Both teams have injury problems but Denver is a little deeper and if some of the Jazz's big guns don't play, they won't have anybody on the court to match Porter Jr.
Lee Sterling: NBA Twin Blowouts
Utah lost one of the best 3 point shooters before the resumption of the season. Denver is better inside the paint and on defense.
Marc Lawrence: Marc Lawrence Triple Perfect Situation NBA Top Key Play!
Nuggets: 8-0 ATS as a favorite in this series when coming off a loss … Jazz: 0-4 ATS last four games on Saturdays; and 0-4 SUATS without rest coming off a loss in this series as well as 0-4 SUATS without rest with Denver coming off a loss in this series … With the Nuggets coming off a loss and battling the Clippers for the No.2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs, we recommend a play on Denver.
Teddy Covers: Teddy's Afternoon Delight: Nuggets vs Jazz! 100% L2 Days
The Salt Lake Tribune sports headline today: “Are the Jazz Tanking?” From the article by Andy Larsen: “it does benefit them to be in the sixth seed rather than the fifth seed, avoiding the Lakers in the second round…..I think they’re tanking.” The Jazz have only won one game in the bubble, against the struggling Grizzlies. They haven’t been playing elite level defense, allowing 110+ in every game. While Royce O’Neal, Rudy Gobert and Mike Conley are expected to return to the lineup today after sitting on the first night of back-2-backs yesterday, Donovan Mitchell is still very questionable and the early start time does not benefit the team that played yesterday. Denver has been money in the bank off a loss all year: 17-6 SU in this role. And with both Michael Porter Jr and Nikola Jokic playing the best basketball of their careers right now, despite an injury riddled backcourt the Nuggets are very much worth backing as short favorites here.
Best of luck!
