Experience: Lead handicapper for Pat Miller Sports from 2003 to 2006 and The Miller Group from 2006 through August of 2009. I've been in the business for seven years professionally, but sports betting has been a part of my life in some shape of form for as long as I can remember.

Systems used when handicapping a game: My selections are based on my extensive knowledge of the game. My approach could be considered both situational and statistical. I don’t have a strong belief in systems, as they are rarely a strong indicator of future results. Biggest win of the year: Cashing the Arizona Cardinals as a TOP PLAY in the Super Bowl certainly ranks near the top. The Cards went into the game as substantial underdogs but actually took the lead in the closing minutes before a Santonio Holmes touchdown sealed their fate. Even though the Cards didn't win outright, they covered the pointspread and served as a perfect end to another fine playoff run.

Toughest loss of the year: One loss that stuck with me came in the second round of the 2009 NBA Playoffs. I recommended a play on the under 194.5 in Game 3 of the Lakers vs. Rockets Western Quarter-Final series. Everything was going according to plan, with a 74-62 Lakers lead at the end of three quarters. With two-and-a-half minutes remaining, I still had 18 points to work with. That's when the foolishness began. 26 points later, my clients and I were left with a losing ticket.

Team you avoid when wagering: There is no one particular team that I completely avoid when it comes to handicapping games. However, I do tend to stay away from the more public teams (Yankees, Cowboys, etc.). More often than not the value just isn't there when it comes to higher profile teams. In general, I'll take advantage of a soft line wherever I can find it.
