Saturday brings us back to a full card of College Football. We've been rolling along nicely for the last couple weeks and it's our last serious shot at regular conference play before bitter rivalries grab us with both hands. As it is, the Big Game is Saturday night, and we're all over the right side of a classic showdown.
Saturday also brings us the NBA Game of the Month. Join us in betting a game where the market has bizarrely hung the number on the wrong team.

Name: David Chan
Age: 30
Years in handicapping: I joined Covers Experts in February of 2008 but prior to that I offered private advice to local clientele for more than five years. My passion for sports goes back to my childhood. After moving to the United States at age 7, I fell in love with the game of basketball. My father was never a sports fan, but he was often given tickets to Laker games through work. At age 9, I was fortunate enough to be in the stands for Game 7 of the NBA Finals. I was hooked.
Achievements in handicapping: After finishing the 2007 NFL season with a 57% winning record, I hit 55% of my plays in 2008. My proudest accomplishment is creating a name for myself among the world's best handicappers, which all reside here at Covers Experts. That didn't come without hard work, as I delivered winning records across all major sports in 08-09.
Biggest win of the year: In the second week of November, we released three Sweeper packages. The Wednesday NBA went 3-0. The Saturday College Football went 2-1. The Sunday NFL went 3-0. My clients and I cashed in big across the board in all three sports.
Biggest loss of the year: Failing to get the 2-0 sweep in the Super Bowl stung. I was right on the money with my 'over' call, however the Steelers failed to cover the seven points in a 27-23 victory. It's not that it was a large bet, but losses in big games always hurt a little more.

Systems used for handicapping: I use numerous systems involving public betting percentages and line movement, but for the most part I consider myself a situational handicapper. Remember, humans, not machines, are the ones playing the games. There is something to be said for the use of statistics, but emotional factors often take precedent. I prefer to go against the grain rather than follow the betting majority.
Sports, conferences, and divisions you excel at handicapping: I like to think that I excel at all sports, but NBA and college hoops are my specialty. Living on the West Coast gives me the added edge of closely following the teams that play most of their games in the wee hours of the morning for East Coast bettors.
